Maguindanao del Norte Governor Hon. Abdulraof A. Macacua reaffirmed the regionβs commitment to resilience and unity guided by Moral Governance. βThe Bangsamoro Foundation Day symbolizes the long history of the Bangsamoro people,β Gov. Macacua stated.
Cotabato City Mayor Hon. Mohammad Ali βBruceβ D. Matabalao also highlighted the region’s journey of courage and unity. βWith the creation of BARMM, Cotabato City is now reaping the benefits of this historic transformation,β he added.
BARMM Chief Minister Hon. Ahod B. Ebrahim, Alhaj, in his anniversary message, thanked the Bangsamoro people for their role in the regionβs progress. βIn the past six years, we have achieved significant milestones β from establishing functional government structures to fostering peace, from enacting legislation to empowering our youth and women, and from uplifting our communities to transforming governance and bureaucracy in a way that reflects our faith,β the Chief Minister said.
Marking the 6th Bangsamoro Foundation Commemoration is more than just a celebration, but a tribute to six years of dedicated service. It highlights the unity of Bangsamoro culture and evidence to the sacrifices β the sweat, blood, and lives β of its ancestors that led to the establishment of the Bangsamoro Government.
The week-long celebration, happening from January 20 to January 24, 2025, features a variety of activities, including cultural booths beside the Office of the Chief Ministerβs building within the Bangsamoro Government Center. These booths represent the provinces of the region, including the Special Geographic Areas (SGA), alongside free services offered to BARMM constituents in both mainland and island areas.Β
As part of the festivities, BCPCH-BARMM offers a Museum Tour to promote cultural awareness and celebrate the diverse heritage of the Bangsamoro people. With free admission, the museum provides an accessible opportunity to explore the rich history and culture of the region. Visitors are welcome without prior reservations, and group tours are available, making it an ideal destination for schools, organizations, and families. The museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, excluding weekends and holidays.Β
