2023 National Heritage Month: “Kadja'an” a Bangsamoro Heritage Training and Exposition
This month of May the Bangsamoro Government through the Bangsamoro Commission for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (BCPCH-BARMM) presents “Kadja’an” a Bangsamoro Heritage Training and Exposition which will be launched on May 29, 2023 at the Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.
In line with the theme: “Preserving the Bangsamoro Heritage through Living Traditions”, this year’s National Heritage Month will be a week-long celebration showcasing the rich and colorful Living Traditions of the Bangsamoro People in the BARMM Region as BCPCH brings you the Bangsamoro skilled artists and artisans from Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and as far as Tawi-Tawi.
Coined from the Yakan term “Kadja’an” referring to “festivities”, the Commission is inviting everyone from all walks of life to come and partake in the celebration by visiting various booths featuring the skilled cultural masters of the five provinces of BARMM and learn more about the following Bangsamoro Heritage components: Native Delicacies, Handicrafts Making, and Cultural Practices.
Know more about your roots, and learn more about your identity. Stay tuned for the grand opening and see you on May 29, 2023!
