BCPCH showcases Sama Culture for Cultural Booth Kickoff on Bangsamoro Governance Day

Wearing cultural dresses representing the blazing pride of Bangsamoro, the BCPCH-BARMM, under the leadership of Chairperson Salem Y. Lingasa, Ph.D., together with BCPCH Tawi-Tawi Commissioner Elmasia L. Madjilon and other cultural advocates of the Commission, gathered in front of the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) Building along with several ministries and offices of the Bangsamoro Government to represent the rich and unique cultural diversity of the entire region during the Flag Ceremony, June 23, 2022, at the Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC), Cotabato City, for the event dubbed as Governance Day.

 

During the ceremony, BARMM’s Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim spearheaded the launching of the Cabinet Handbook and CM-Acts, the turnover of checks for local government units and cooperatives, the turnover of medicines to Maguindanao and Cotabato City’s RHUs, and the ceremonial turnover of food items, hygiene and ATM cards to its beneficiaries.

<strong>Cultural Booth: Palanjal Kam ni Tawi-Tawi</strong>

Showcasing the BARMM’s unique, vibrant, and magnanimous cultures of the BARMM’s five (5) provinces (Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Basilan, and Tawi-tawi), Senior Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua, represented by Assistant Senior Minister Abdullah M. Cusain, OCM Cabinet Secretary Mohd Asnin K. Pendatun, and OCM-TMS Director III Narcisa D. Macog graced the ribbon cutting of the Cultural Booth Competition beside OCM building.

The Commission wishes to thank the following partners: Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD), Ministry of the Indigenous Peoples and Affairs (MIPA), the Bangsamoro Youth Commission (BYC) and other members of the Social Development Committee for making its programs visible in this long-week foundation day celebration.

In support of the Bangsamoro Foundation Day, the Commission engages in the long-week celebration such as the Cultural Booth featuring the Sama culture of the Tawi-Tawi province in partnership with MIPA and BYC, the quiz bowl in partnership with MBHTE, the “Pandala” installation within the BGC, and the Bangsamoro Museum which is open every day in its business hours from Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM for visitors who wish to know and learn Bangsamoro history, culture, and arts.

The 4th Bangsamoro Foundation Day will be celebrated from January 21 to 27, 2023 in the entire Bangsamoro Region. Ministries and offices invite everyone and avail of the exclusive services for the Bangsamoro.
